Volunteer Position Job Description
Job Title: Volunteer Representative – based in Saskatoon
Purpose: The Princess Shop’s Representatives are responsible for general duties as assigned by the Executive Director(s). The Representatives are assigned tasks on a weekly basis to assist the Executive Directors(s) with various tasks in every program and event throughout the year.
Vision: The Princess Shop’s Representatives will assist with the development, facilitation, and expansion of The Princess Shop’s programs, including the creative enhancement of all programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Executive Director(s) to manage all tasks and duties with regards to all programs:
- The Dress Program, including maintenance of facility, conducting dress fittings.
- The Scholarship Program, including the pursuit of sponsors and applicants.
- The Fairy Godmother Program, in support of the Program Coordinator.
- The Glass Slipper Benefit for Princesses, including the pursuit of auction items, program advertisement sales, ticket sales, promotion, etc.
- The Perfectly Pink Appreciation BBQ, including planning and promotion.
- Continually engages in efforts to creatively grow and enhance all programs, generating new ideas to support current/new initiatives to discuss with the Executive Director(s).
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Reports to: Executive Director(s) of The Princess Shop.
Position Term: Representatives will be hired immediately, to serve until December 31, 2010. In October, Representatives can be reappointed for another year at the discretion of the Executive Director(s).
Commitment and Expectations:
- Make minimum time commitment of 3 hours per week
- Include Executive Director(s) on all email correspondence relating to TPS to maintain open lines of communication
- Maintain and submit weekly summary report to the Executive Director(s) every Sunday
- Prepare verbal report (based on weekly summary report) to the Executive Director(s) once per week at the General Meeting
- Prepare monthly update (based on weekly summary reports) to be shared with the rest of The Princess Shop staff and board of directors in the Monthly Updates, organized by the Executive Directors
- Maintain and submit timesheet to the Executive Director(s) on the last day of the month

Support: Training and direction for this position will be provided. In addition, the Executive Director(s) will be available for questions and assistance.
