About The Fairy Godmother Program

The Fairy Godmother Program is the newest initiative of The Princess Shop. The purpose of the program is to allow Princess Graduates the opportunity to build a relationship with a role model. These role models, known as Fairy Godmothers, will be women volunteers from the community who wish to make a difference in the lives of young women.

This program recognizes the importance of role models in the development of self confident and independent young women. As such, it will aid in the transition from high school to future success for each Princess. The mission of the program is to provide the Princesses with the self-confidence, motivation, and life skills needed to accomplish their goals whatever they may be.  Our hope is that the Fairy Godmother will play a special role in bringing these ambitions to reality.

The Fairy Godmother program is currently in its pilot phase. As such, the Fairy Godmothers and Princesses involved in this year’s program will be part of a formative process in order to establish a program that will enrich the lives of young women for years to come.

Our hope is that the Princesses and the Godmothers develop a relationship that, whether it lasts a year or a lifetime, will enrich the lives of both.

Currently, The Fairy Godmother Program is in process of accepting and interviewing applicants for participation of the pilot phase of the program and will begin to form matches between applicants in the near future.

If you are interested, please review the Information Package and complete the Application Form. Completed application forms must be emailed to Rayne Robertson rmr679@mail.usask.ca by Friday June 11, 2010 at 5:00 PM. Fairy Godmother applicants must be available for training on Tue Jun 22 as well as The Princess Shop’s 3rd Annual Perfectly Pink Appreciation BBQ on Wed Jun 30 (4-7pm), if chosen as a Fairy Godmother.
