2011 marked a great year of growth for The Princess Shop’s Scholarship Program!
Four scholarships were offered: a full scholarship from Spa Academy, $1000 from Marca, $500 from The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce and a $1500 bursary from Business and Professionals Women. Most scholarships were open to past and present Princess Graduates.
Spa Academy Scholarship
Spa Academy, one of Saskatchewan’s top esthetics and spa education centers, has provided one scholarship each year since 2009 for their professional esthetics program. The scholarship consists of full tuition for one student, valued at $9300. The professional esthetics program is designed to provide students with the skills to become a successful esthetician. 2010 Princess Graduates are eligible.
Business & Professional Women’s Club of Saskatoon Bursary
For the second year, Business and Professional Women’s Club Saskatoon Inc. offered a $1500 bursary for Princess Graduates who have demonstrated involvement in their community and are pursuing post-secondary education in the 2011-2012 academic year.
Marca Scholarship
Marca College is a leading educator in esthetics and hair design careers offering a variety of programs for their students. For the first time, Marca offered a $1000 scholarship for any of their full-time programs – helping one Princess Graduate get started on the right foot in her esthetics or hair design career.
Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce Bursary
The Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce partnered with The Princess Shop this year to provide a bursary of $500 for a 2011 Princess Graduate who is attending post-secondary school in the 2011-2012 academic year and volunteers within the Saskatoon community.
