The 4th Annual Perfectly Pink Appreciation BBQ – a summary
The 4th Annual Perfectly Pink Appreciation BBQ entertained 75 Princess Graduates and their friends/family, volunteers and friends, sponsors and board members. The BBQ was held at Henry Kelsey School on July 6, sponsored by Leila Goluboff of Remax Realty, and catered by Schryer’s Smoke Shack.
Most of the matches in the Fairy Godmother Program met for the first time that afternoon and enjoyed the opportunity to get to know each other in a casual environment.
The Perfectly Pink BBQ invites all friends of The Princess Shop to come together to eat a delicious meal, enjoy some outdoor games, and celebrate another wonderful year.
Dress Program 2011 – a summary
2011 was a banner year for The Princess Shop in all programs, especially the Dress Program. The Princess Shop’s Dress Program reached 103 young women, compared to 61 in 2010.
The Princess Shop is excited about reaching an increased number of First Nations communities, as well. Over 60% of 2011 Princess Graduates self-identified as Aboriginal. Although situated in Saskatoon, The Princess Shop’s programs reach young women from First Nations communities across the province, including Hatchet Lake First Nation, Mosquito First Nation, and 26 other communities.
It has become increasingly clear that The Princess Shop’s services are essential for young women in Saskatoon.
The Princess Shop would like to extend great thanks to all individuals and businesses that played a role in making our fourth graduation season a success. In particular, the following Dress Program sponsors donated their services to provide the complete graduation experience for 78 Princess Graduates – an increase from 41 in the 2010 graduation season.
