Princess Graduates create vision boards in the Fairy Godmother Program

The Fairy Godmother Program’s November monthly activity took place in the art room of Confederation Park Elementary School. The purpose of this meeting was to ensure that everyone left with a visual reminder of their hopes and aspirations. The idea behind vision boards is that if we are reminded visually of what we want to achieve, we are more likely to change our lives to match those desires. To make our vision boards, The Princess Shop received donations of old magazines from the Saskatoon community. Everyone in attendance left the event with a completed vision board and those that wanted to share their ideas were invited to show the rest of the group.

The Fairy Godmother Program provides Princess Graduates with the opportunity to build a relationship with a role model. These role models, known as Fairy Godmothers, are female volunteers from the community who wish to make a difference in the lives of young women. Once per month, all twelve matches meet for an activity – to socialize, learn, and try new things.
